Busy February!

This month hit the ground running! I stated out with the Gala for Girls on Friday, Feb 1st, then the Cathedral Mardi Gras Celebration Sat, Feb 2nd! I had so much fun at both of the events!!!

This was my third year donating my time for the Gala for Girls photographs. I absolutely love seeing the girls all dressed up and having fun with their dads, grandpas, uncles, an other male role-models. What a neat way to help strengthen that bond, and give the girls wonderful memories!

This is the first year I had the photo booth at the Cathedral Mardi Gras, and although I’ve never been before this year, I’ve always heard what a fun time it is. I can now say I agree! It was a great evening with fantastic food provided by the Irishman’s Shanty and wonderful companionship! I always have a blast running the photo booth, and it was no exception there, either!

Tomorrow, I get to go over to Head Start for their school photos. This is the second year I’ve done this, and I’m happy to provide this service for the school and the parents.

A quick note for the Gala for Girl’s parents – I’ll be submitting images to my lab in the next couple of days. If you wanted to order and get the photos back along with the complimentary 5×7, I’ll need you to mail your order and payment to the studio address shown on the order form!

I hope everyone is having a good winter and staying warm!

Photobooth Fun!!!

The last two photobooth events have been a total blast! I seriously enjoy running the booth and think it’s one of the most fun things I do in the entire scope of my business! Every time I have an event, I always hear how much fun people have had, and what a neat idea it is!

I enjoy customizing the strips to match the event, and I love watching people get goofy with the props. With these two events, they also had the guest book option. The strips are printed two at a time. One goes to the guest, and one goes in the guest book. It’s a fun scrapbook the guests can sign, and a way for the person of honor to have a fun record of everyone there! Photobooth strips can also be a larger 4×6 size, which allows for 4 images and more design options!

If you’ve been at a Joyful Heart Photobooth event lately, go to my order site http://joyfulheartphoto.com/photocart/ and register for the site. Once you’ve done that, send me a message about which event you were at, and I’ll get you the password. You can then purchase images for use for yourself. These are great for scrapbooking and holiday greeting cards!

Just a reminder, I’m still looking for high school students who are Class of 2013 Seniors for my Senior Ambassador program. The senior who brings in the most referrals will WIN the photobooth for their own grad party! Check out my senior site http://theseniorexperience.joyfulheartphoto.com/ for information on how to apply for Senior Ambassador. There are a lot of perks to being an Ambassador, including free items and a free model session!

A few quick notes

Hey everyone! Where did May go anyways? What a crazy month! Between all the school activities going on, the weather has also given us quite the roller-coaster ride! One week we’re cranking up the AC because we’ve hit 90+ degrees. In a few short days, we’re turning our heat back on because we’ve got freeze warnings! What the heck, right? :)

The studio is going to be closed on Friday, June 1st. I have to have an out-patient surgery that day and will be taking it easy for about two weeks following. After that, I have the photobooth at another graduation party, then the following week, I’ll have it at the Polk County Relay for Life again on June 15th. Don’t forget, the booth is available for wedding receptions as well. I do not need to be the wedding photographer for the event, and would love to share your happy event with you at the reception. Every time I’ve had the photobooth at an event, it has been a huge hit with everyone. I hear a lot of great comments and love watching everyone have fun with the props and the goofy expressions the booth captures. Send me an email for more information on reserving the booth for your own event! nicole@joyfulheartphoto.com

Studio hours are going to shift for the summer. I’m still going to be at the studio on Thursday and Friday for office hours, but with the kids being out of school, the hours will run from 10-4 instead of 9-3. This will start when I get re-open after my surgery on June 14th.

I hope everyone has a lot of fun plans for their summer!

Spring Contest

It’s finally here! The big contest I’ve been hinting at. :)   Starting at midnight EST (don’t blame me… I’m limited by the site that provides the software to host the contest) Sunday, April 29th, you will have a week to get as many entries as possible. At the end of the week, a random winner will be chosen. The prize is $200 to use towards services and products from Joyful Heart Photography!
