I’ve known Zach since he was in 6th grade. That right there makes me feel old. His mom runs a daycare which my boys have gone to for the last 6 years. When she asked if I would take Zach’s Senior photos my first response was “He’s not a senior! He can’t possibly be a senior!” LOL Time does fly,doesn’t it? After I got over that little shock, I was certainly honored to be taking his senior pictures.

We had a great time with these! Zach was a lot of fun and very laid back. I think we’ve got one more session once he and his family get back from vacation. He wants to do some hunting themed ones, and I have an awesome idea for some baseball shots!

I debated about posting this tonight, but there is a quote that I just read that really speaks to me. I don’t think a lot of people who read my blog are much into marketing or biz type writings, but I like to follow a guy by the name of Seth Godin. He has some neat stuff that is primarily aimed at people who own a business. However, I think this quote can apply to anyone and everyone who has ever had a dream about something.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If there was ever a moment to follow your passion and do work that matters, this is it. You can’t say, “but I need to make a fortune instead,” because that’s not happening right now. So you might as well join the people who can say, “I love doing this.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I love photography. I cannot imagine NOT being a photographer. I’ve worked one non-photo related job in the last 15 years, and hated almost every single moment there. Photography IS my passion. And I love working with people and creating moments and art that is going to be treasured for years and generations.

What do you have that you absolutely can’t see yourself doing without? Don’t have anything? Find it. Life is so much more fullfilling when you have something that causes you to dream. Something that causes you to look beyond yourself and imagine, “What if…?”

Another quote that I love is actually out of a fictional book by Terry Goodkind. “Your life is your own. Rise up and live it.” These two quotes work well together. I have my passion. What is yours?

Here are some more adorable pictures of Tessa. It’s hard to believe, but when she was really little, she wouldn’t even smile at me. If she even looked at me, it was a scowl. Now she lets me do just about whatever I want, and we get some darn cute pictures! (If I do say so myself! *grin*) We had a lot of fun, and a lot of help from her big sister, Ella. :)
