Enough slacking
Okay, okay, okay… I have the images from the Portrait Party done, but I keep forgetting to get some of the releases signed! Here are a few images that I do have releases for.
Really cute kids.
and
And here are a few of my favorites from Tiffany and Eric’s engagement session last weekend. Tiffany, I’m still not done editing yet, but I’m loving these shots!
I’ll add more later as there are way too many cute ones to leave it at that!
A quick update for those who have asked. My Grandma’s biopsy came back not so good. The doctor took a sample about the size of a golf ball from her lungs and it is the cancer that is in her jaw. So, it is in her blood stream and is spreading. There isn’t much they can do about it now. They are going to treat the tumor in her jaw and mouth with radiation to keep it from growing as that one can become extremely painful, but otherwise there is no other treatment for her. She will be going through the radiation every weekday for a total of seven weeks. The doctors have said a few months to a couple of years. This is extremely difficult for me as I am very close to her. We always joked when I was growing up that I had three moms, my Mom, my Aunt Chris, and my Grandma. The hardest part is that they all live in Idaho and I’m here. I will be taking time off in January to go visit family again.
I know I’ve asked this before, but please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers. They will need all the help and strength they can get for their upcoming battles.
Thanks again to everyone.
site hiccups
I may have some site hiccups in the next few days. I’m in the process of transferring my domain name to a different registrar because my current one made me extremely unhappy. Transferring can take up to 5 days. So they say. I also have to do some other coding stuff on the server side which may cause issues. But I’m tired and cranky and have been arguing with this for close to three hours now.
I think I’d better get to bed. At least my blog is independant on all of this stuff.
Fall engagements
I have an engagement session here in about half an hour. We’re going to go play in the leaves. It’s such a beautiful day here, if a little windy, and I know we’re just going to have a great time.
I’m about ready to show off my new site. Perhaps tonight! I just have a few tweaks left to it and it’s ready to go.
I can’t wait!
I guess I don't already have enough to do…
I found a really awesome new hosting site for my webpage. It’s even better than the one I have now, and will offer new features for me, as well as for my customers. It also costs about half as much as my current one. Woohoo!!! However, I’m now on a time crunch to get it finished before the renewel date (done monthly) of my current site. Ack!
So, sometime before the 20th, I will be unveiling my new and improved website! I also have a new, slightly tweaked logo that I’m really liking. It is also my plan to unveil my new products. Just in time for those last minute Christmas portrait sessions!
Keep checking in. I still have images from last week’s portrait party to share. Next Saturday I also have an engagement session that I am really looking forward to. Engagement sessions are a whole lot of fun!
Don’t forget the deadlines for Christmas!
November 14th – last day for portrait parties.
November 19th – last day for regular sessions.
December 1st – last day for normal orders
December 15th – last day for rush orders.
December 16th – January 1st – no portrait sessions or orders taken.
Last note… Grandma had a biopsy done of some “suspicious” looking spots in her lungs. The doctor removed something roughly the size of a golf ball and it the surgeon said it didn’t look good. She’s home at my mom’s now after the biopsy, and they’re all waiting to find out the results. Hopefully the doctor will get them in on Monday, but it is looking like it will be Wednesday. Please keep her, my mom, and my aunt in your prayers.
